How to reach Muijala

Taidetila Muijala is reachable by car, bicycle and bus. From the center of Rauma it is a 25 min car ride to Muijala. By bicycle it takes about 1,5/ 2 hours.

During weekdays, there is a local bus going to Reila from Rauma and from Uusikaupunki. It is called line 220 Rauma-Uusikaupunki and the nearest bus stop is Reila. From there it is a 5 min walk to Muijala’s premises.

Accessibility of the art spaces

Industrial hall: the two large spaces at our industrial hall are wheelchair-accessible.

Suuli barn: the main space is on the ground floor and wheelchair-accessible. There is also an attic, unfortunately only reachable by climbing stairs.

Navetta barn gallery: this gallery space is located in a former cow shed. The doors to the exhibition spaces are 96 cm wide (to the big space) and 84 cm wide (to the small side-room) and not yet step-fee. The concrete floor of the Navetta is uneven and as it modeled to accommodate cows. We strive to create a wheel-chair accessible path in this gallery space in the near future.
The Navetta also has an attic, which can be reached by a steep slope from the side.

Viljamakasiini/ granary: the door to the granary is 98 cm wide and not yet step-fee. The ground floor has two pillars and stairs in the middle of the space. The upstairs space is unfortunately only reachable by climbing a wooden staircase.
